21. Better Everything for Everyone
One of the standout Saturday SXSW sessions was how brands can engage with their communities. You can find an overview here and details of one of the other speakers, Marcus Byrd from Dos Toros here.
Also on the stage was Helena Hounsell from Brandless. Brandless is a simple company with a simple objective. High quality stuff, at lower prices, without the associated costs of brands. It clearly conforms to the ideas that were presented, a focus on providing benefit for everyone, customers, community, and staff.

Hounsell had a strong message about focus and passion. 'The key is knowing what you stand for and putting it into everything you do.'
She also repeated the trend that came through many of the SXSW talks, that doing good is as important as doing well. 'Sometimes its okay to just spread a positive message, without being about revenue.'
