33. The next Social Impact Start ups
SXSW is full of ideas that have been through the development process, and are poised to make things happen, or already shaping the experience of customers and consumers.
If you went to SXSW you might have developed a taste for learning more about how ideas get to this point. Following things like this blog, and the Meaning Instagram will give you lots of directions, like the global push of the Cemex-Tec award to reach and support startups with social impact.
The award was presented in Berlin in April, at the Impact Hub, in partnership with Make_Sense, and inspired and excited the crowd of social entrepreneurs attending with news and insight into the dynamic social entrepreneurship environment of northern Mexico.
If you have a bright idea there are multiple ways to apply. You can be a student, a social entrepreneur, or an NGO. You need to do it by the end of May, and if you are successful you get to attend a range of bootcamps, and receive lumps of cash in seed funding.
Find out more about the award here, Make Sense here and Impact Hub here.
