61. Tony Robbins awakens your giant

We broke the chronology of this blog to talk about how Tony Robbins was a presence at SXSW here. You can get an initial sense of his work here.

Key parts of the theory include dwelling on the negative components of your life, and connecting them with the pain they cause you. You play with your own psychology, until you reject unhelpful characteristics as too painful.

Instead you dwell on the future you want for yourself, you visualise the person you want to be, the rewards you will get by being that person, and the impact it will have on the people around you.
There is lots of talk about language, which will only chime with you if you feel that you don't use words well.

One of the key factors is goal setting, deciding what you need to do to be the person you want to be. This was one of the bits that chimed with me, and in order to make these goals real, and to try and hold myself to them, I'm going to put them here, and come back to them.

Here they are:

By the time of SXSW 2020 I will:
  1. Be producing a popular children's podcast
  2. Have written the drafts of two novels for young people, which through innovative story, allow them to think about the world in a different way.
  3. Have developed the Meaning idea to the point where it has attracted funding and produced an MVP that can genuinely help people around the world.
  4. Be working with a group of people who's creativity I support and share.
I'll report on this every week. Wish me luck...
